    Glenn, yes. I installed one this year into my 69' Firebird. It fits perfect. I did not have to do anything to the tunnel. It fit perfect. No clearance issues at all. Sorry on the late response but, I had no idea you posted here until I logged on today. No email notification. If you PM me, I'll be able to respond much quicker. -joe

    Jal, Hi I heard you installed a Gear Vendor overdrive in a 1st gen firebird. How was the fitment, was there issues with the tunnel? Are you happy with the unit? Reliability, operation, comments? Thanks Glenn
