Hi Bill. I just bought a ‘56 Chieftain and will install a 455 in it probably with a turbo 400. I looked at your various posts and when you used the ‘60 timing cover you also used a mount at the bell housing along with the trans mount. Now that you are using the Hurst 2nd style do you still use the one at the bell housing or just trans crossmember? Thanks, Tom

Bill. I live near Peoria. Your 55 gasser really does interest me. My first car was 55 Pontiac. I put a 370 in it, back in high school. Ran a Crane Cam and 57 tripower. I ran it in Peoria, back in mid-60s...1/8th mile.

Can you tell me more about your 55? Do you have pictures?

I have a business restoring Pontiac tripowers and selling tripower parts. www.pontiactripower.com

    Thanks! Mike (309) 360-6385

Just eyeballed those heater (?) hoses you use to bring water from both heads to the water crossover. They appear to be formed with the bend from the fitting @ the rear of the heads. Is this stuff readily available? I would like to do this on my street 455. Thanks.
