Hey Paul, I don't know if you remember me, but you did a 400 for my 78 Trans Am about in Nov of 05 (Tall bald Air Force pilot). I moved shortly after the motor was done and before I got the carb back from Cliff Ruggles so I never really ran it there in Tucson. I've got maybe 500 miles on it now and have noticed since the beginning that if I let it sit more than a couple of weeks that I get blue smoke when I start it. If it sits less than that no problem. I pulled the plugs and they all have oil in the threads, but the electrode itself is dry...although it is black like its running rich. The weird thing is that all the plugs are like that. Would this be the valve seals? If you remember you lent me one of your carbs and I ran the car without the PCV hooked up then and it smoked whenever it ran (we looked at it up at the Pontiac Heaven show). Now it only smokes like I said if I leave it sit for more than a few weeks. Do you have any thoughts about what I need to look at to fix it? Could I have done some damage to the rings by not hooking the up PCV before? I had hoped it would go away by now, but it hasn't. Thanks Paul,

    Mike Cundiff

By the way, did you ever see this article on my car?
