Hello Elefantrider, I was going to order some wheel cylinder kits from RockAuto but the shipping charges to me were ridiculous. So I have been checking into various part numbers for them and found my local parts store has them for the rear wheels - Raybestos #WK250 and the alternate # is C659 I found this on Ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Drum-Brake-W...-/261142410144 The site says that these are not compatible with '63 Lemans but they are 15/16" so should work and my parts guys claims they will.
I Also found at my parts store the cups for the front Part #1219. The parts guy wants me to bring in a front cylinder to measure for the rubber boots. I was able to salvage the springs and they are in good shape. Have you pulled the trigger on ordering any? How about master cylinder kits?

I stopped by my house as we were 4 hrs ahead of schedule. I pulled the wheels off & my parts car has these tiny brake drums.
I just sold a complete wheel to wheel front end last weekend that did have the drums.
Sorry. I thought I seen finned drums thru the front end.
Let me know if I can help any further.

You know, I have spoken to Mike. He is very interested in what i will be able to get SVRA to approve. I am very confident that i will be able to get the live axle cleared. The competition director for SVRA lives in my town and we talk often about the direction the car will go. It is not going to try to replicate the Paul Goldsmith car, it will just be a 63 Lemans that fits certain criteria that will allow it to compete in one or two classes. Got the next two days to think about it with the storm keeping us stuck in our house. It is getting nasty now. 8-10 foot storm surge.

Hello, I am the person hoping to build the 63 tempest/lemans roadracecar. I was wondering if you could elaborate on the 63 that raced in canada. I am trying to compile as much info as possible to justify how i would like to build my car. Thanks, Gary
