I would say post a note on the forums. If you can find a base the lid is available reproduction. I'm like you about finding parts, seems it's all about $$$$$ now. Thanks for the compliments.

I would like to have an air cleaner like the one on your 1969 Firebird restoration. Unfortunately, mine did not have the original air cleaner when I bought it back in 1982 and I have just gotten around to wanting to find one now.

What do you think my chances are of finding one now that everything is so darn desirable? I wanted to get a steering wheel also but my thoughts are that the two items would be over $500 for the both of them.

I liked the earlier times when things were obtainable and people were not so damn greedy.

I also contacted you at a previos time regarding the arrowhead on the front bumper. Thank you for your help with the arrowhead.

I want to repeat that you done a very good job on both of your restorations.
