I saw your discussion here regarding the connection you have for the 64 GTO center console paint. I printed out the formula and my local NAPA dealers do not have the tech system to mix that exact formula. Can you provide me with the information on the NAPA dealer that you used so that I may contact them to order paint? Thanks for any help you can give me.

    Hi Bob,

I have had one of the metal repo kits, but I haven't had one of the plastic repo kits. I just read last week in the seller's ad that a judge in a concours class could not tell the difference - there was a new ABS kit in the car and not an original. I don't know if that is a seller's claim or the real truth.

FWIW, my thoughts are that for the price they look like a pretty good deal. The upside is they would be new and should look great. The downside (that I see IMO) is the chromed ABS will scratch much easier than true chromed metal and of course the ABS isn't quite as durable as the metal ones, although some of the old pot metal ones certainly have their weak points too!

That's about all I know about those. Hope it helps you a little.

    Terry

Hi , I was told you may have some input on the plastic 4 speed console top kits? I'm thinking of buying one but wanted to talk to someone who has some knowledge of them. Thank you , Bob
