My 64 Pntiac Catalina, which i have not had any luck getting to start since about 2014, which i last mentioned on my last message on this site back in 2017, has now been picked up and taken 40 miles away to finally have a motorhead give ita good try. My son in law who as a hobby races super modifieds, and drag vehicles. has found time to put this low tech gem of the past up on his lift and find out what the problem is. Last fall I gave it myself one last try, spend many hours and getting nothing at all of a fire. I had painted it with some free house paint a seafoam flat green in 2017, vqs my last painting in 2014 with rustoleum red had so much sun deterorated, I just paint it with whatever to keep back the rust until I can actually get her going. , so this last painting in 2017 has most ly flaked off by now,

I bought this sight unseen back in late 1986 for $225, long story short, it has sat since 1999, with occasional starts and cleaning, fluid checks etc. I'm not a motorhead , just a prior shade tree mechanic, I have owned over 30 "last stop before the bone yard" 60s-70's cars, and this is the one I can't seem to part with. I want to drive it regular to work (right next door) and around this small town. Problem is I have forgotten so much about cars with carburetors in the past nearly 20 years that I feel like a cautious novice at all this.
wish me luck!
