I run MT drag slicks on the car now and they are 28X10.5X15. Several years ago when I drove this car on the street I ran MT Sportsman Pro's but don't remember the size. You can go on MT's website and it will have a chart of all their tires giving actual tread width, section width and height of all their tires. From that you can compare. My slicks say 10.5X28X15 but the tread width is not actually 10.5 but it's just a size. but their chart will tell you actual tread width and section width. I hope this helps some.

    Hi Tim,

I hate to bother you, but I wondered if you had some definate knowledge about tire & wheel fit. I seen your post "I have a 65 Lemans and I use a 8.5" wide Centerline with a 5" back space and it puts the tire right in the middle between the frame and the fenderwell. "

I think the 65 and 66 rear wheel area is the same?

With your definite wheel info, would you by any chance have run any street slicks like MT ET's ? or any other brand ?

And if so, would you know the widest that will fit with that wheel and clear the inside and quarter lip?

It's a lot of money to make a mistake on the tires and/or wheels. Just thought I'd ask before I posted on the boards. You seem to have a lot of knowledge, not guesswork, I'm not into guessing.

    Thank you in advance,

    Brian James

Hi Tim, there is a thread over at PSP regarding the current availability of the Tomahawk rods. Perhaps you could provide some info on the status/availability?

Hi Tim; Will you be getting more 5140 rods for Pontiac and will they work with most forged pistons in a stock 455 rebuild ? Thanks

It's much easier if I can answer via email. My email is tomahawkperformance@gmail.com. I have the 5140 rods but don't carry pistons currently. The 455 with 6 x heads is a popular combo and works quite well. I can also get the right cam and good lifters for your combo. For a mild street combo cast pistons should be fine.

Hi Tim , I'm in the process of rebuilding a 455 and wanted to see if you may have what I need . I'm not racing so I don't really need all the Hi performance parts but I'm sure that when I take my standard bore in it will have to be bored. Do you sell kits or each rod/pistons /etc. separate ? I was thinking if I need to purchase pistons and rods I may want to go with at least the 5140 rod and a inexpensive forged piston with a mild cam . I do have a set of 6x4 heads on my running 76 F/bird that I was told would be a good choice . If you can help me with this I would appreciate it. I may just end up with cast pistons but rods I would like to install with the new kit . Thanks for any help you can offer!!!
