I think the 76 stock intake is restricted in the secondary opening area. I would use the Performer but port match the openings a little.

Use the 4 eyebrows forged pistons, not the 8 eyebrow cast...

Dont bother with aftermarket guideplates,I've yet to see a set of them that properly aligns the pushrod tip with the rocker arms on a pontiac.

Clean & re-use the old guideplates.
