I don't think it's a "shorter chain" when you're buying that type of timing set. At least that's how it is with Rollmaster. With those .005 and .010 sets, the chain is the same as in the standard...

It sounds like you're doing something similar as I did to my '67 a few years ago. I also went to a Moser 12-bolt rear and switched over the rear arms to GW. Sure is nice to dial in your pinion angle...

My '67 had a 535 with 340E-heads, 10.3 SCR and SD's road paver which is not a huge cam for those cubes. 650hp and 667Tq with a TorkerII....91-92 octane.....wouldn't have taken much more to get it...

Drop the valve body and take a look at the separator plate. If it's already had a TG kit, you'll notice it on the plate. You're not going to be able to tell if it's had rings or lip seals removed...
