Used the 1233 gasket kit on 2 cars; 69 Bird with 400 and my 72 GTO with 455. Had 3300miles on the Bird before I sold it, over 5000miles and 4 years on the GTO.

No issues at all with the blockoff...

Thats a 1233. Comes with an assortment of blockoff plates (not on the picture). You can block the entire crossover including the 'airgap' over it, or leave the crossover open and block the deadspace...
