I think the Formula with the rubber roof and rear...

I think the Formula with the rubber roof and rear spoiler is really the "ugly duckling".....it just looks WRONG...:gag:

If I'm not mistaken,that was made for showroom demonstrations in what was called a GM...

It's actually the kickdown switch...for a TH400...

It's actually the kickdown switch...for a TH400 trans (ALL GM cars in the 70's with TH400 got them) and in 72 it doubles as the shaker flap switch....

It's funny...but I think that 71's...although...

It's funny...but I think that 71's...although 1000 MORE were produced... seem to be tougher to find in good condition .....perhaps the 72's were bought by more responsible owners who kept them...

The 70 with beige and brown was actually called Sandalwood.....mate that up to a Lucerne Blue exterior and it's STUNNING.......Polar White....ho hum......

I heard tell of a 70 T/A .......Lucerne...

I almost didn't buy it because of the red...

I almost didn't buy it because of the red interior........but it kinda grew on me...after a while...... and most of the others had blue or black...so it WAS kinda unique...

73 was first year for rounded trim rings.........I'm thinking 76 for the cheapie paint jobs....

Correct color for Rally II's is REALLY subjective......

After you remove the 2 screws.......take a dull...

After you remove the 2 screws.......take a dull putty knife or screwdriver and carefully start prying out/up on the bottom front.....as it releases....work your way back....

Once it is free all...

As I recall.....the 160 speedo that is "plug and play" in a 79 will be a late 72-74 that has a seat belt and brake warning at the bottom.......

70-early 72 have only brake light and doesn't...
