I love them. They keep my valve covers from leaking, though admittedly I put my original valve cover flanges in a vice to bend them straight again first.

I stopped using bolts on all my valve covers and switched to studs. Easier to get the whole thing in place and aligned without fighting it. Havent leaked on my 400 since.

If it’s off the car just take it on drive to a hardware store and test out some male pipe...

I would think they are the same. I'm not sure if there is more than 1 company making repro steering wheels for 67. I used the one from Ames and it is a nice piece.
