Merry Christmas everyone.

I have a pair too, but mine cover the whole GTO life span. I call them Alpha and Omega.

Thinking about Christmas and the GTO....

It was 25 years ago when I drove the '64 Convertible Christmas shopping the Saturday before Christmas Day!

It was sunny, relatively warm (for December in Wisconsin) and the roads were clear and dry. Even saw a '58 Chrysler out for a late season drive that day.

Since purchasing the car as a project in 1992 and driving it since the fall of 1994, the GTO has been driven in every month of the year. Routinely in March through October and selectively in November - February. February was the last month that got checked off the list about 5 years ago on an unseasonably warm and sunny Saturday (near 50 degrees). Top down to our local winery for lunch!

Merry Christmas Dick and all my friends here, whether you love the '64 or not, haha!

Thanks to all of you! You've been a great help while restoring my two '64's. I began the red one in 1987, but many things got in the way of completion, so the real effort resumed in 2006, with completion in 2012. Here is a picture of the pickup in Missouri in 1987.

Nancy's Gulfstream Aqua '64 came from Milwaukee. She bought it in 1973. It was a good 20-footer until I tore it apart in 2015, got the body stripped, and got it together by 2017. Here it was in 2010, before I began the restoration.

Merry Christmas guy's thank you for your help as you have done for me through the years. Here's my 20 footer (at least) 1965. My wife and I use it year round if weather permits and we certainly enjoy it

Here's a picture from Nostalgia Day at Island this past summer.

The only thing better than a '64 GTO is two '64 GTOs.

Merry Christmas, all.

Merry belated Christmas to all!

Here’s mine and definitely being driven. Was in two collections for prior nine years and collected 800 miles, now I’ve driven it every week or two and put on 1400 miles in 14 months.

It certainly helped!! My Ex-wife hated my GTO. My new wife loves our involvement with our local POCI Chapter and the national events, including the Pontiac, Illinois show every September. Alos, she is very tolerant of the time I spend on Tri-Power restorations.

What more could an old Pontiac nut ask?

We're both Blessed men Dick!!

My wife is very supportive but maybe not quite as enthusiastic as yours but she agrees when I say "There's worse things than a Pontiac Hobby a Husband could be spending his time doing."

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

1_Wild_Cat 12-28-2021 05:38 PM

My wife is the same - very supportive of my cars and other hobbies. She loves going to shows and races.

She was my helper on the last engine rebuild - both for tear down and assembly.

Glad y’all found good ones too. Happy New Year.

Cardo 12-29-2021 02:32 AM

I've got one of those wives too....mine actually told me to find one to build. For 3 years before I actually did it. Her only requirement was factory A/C. THEN after that one was finished she let me buy a second one. If I could clone her I'd be a billionaire.

NYGTO 12-29-2021 05:31 PM

My wife has been going to car events with me for over 40 years. The various Show and Go's at different dragstrips, concour events and whatever adventure we're up to.

Somehow she hasn't pick-up a lot of automotive knowledge through those years and she'll panic a bit if I leave her alone with the car at a crowded event.

She'll always ask "what do I say if someone asks me a question" and I always respond the same way . "Just say 389 a lot! " and nod affirmatively :--).

Here I'm testing out the family BMW X1 last month, I wanted her to try making a pass but she declined. Still found a good restaurant in the western mountains of N.J. so it all works out.
