WTB GT-37

Hi guys,
I posted before with a list of cars I'm looking for but number 1 on the list is a 70.5 GT-37. Does anyone have any leads or one they would like to sell? I prefer a MT 400 car but will consider all. It does not have to have the original motor but that would be nice.

I would also consider a 71 as well but it would need to be the right combination as I prefer the 70 front end over the 71 model.

Thanks
Joe

I do know of a 71.0 (early Judge type stripe) Tropical Lime/green numbers up 400/auto car in Arkansas. Can't believe it is still for sale but PM me if you want the contact info. Needs a PHS run to varify.

1lms 07-14-2014 03:22 PM

I have a 71 with the stripe.
Lucerne Blue, white top, white interior, bench seat, and 4 speed.
Unfortunately 350 2 brl
Have a correct casting 400 4brl or 455HO complete drivetrain available.
PM me if interested

If it didn't have a green interior....darn it.

Don't dismiss that color combo - it's stunning!

ponchjoe 07-15-2014 11:12 AM

Unfortunately green is my least favorite color. If it were Limelight and black I would be interested...

Keep those leads coming guys.
Thanks

tripower 07-15-2014 08:37 PM

To be honest Tropical Lime and Limekist look alike to me. Need to take a closer look at this one!

ponchjoe 07-15-2014 09:59 PM

Let me know more about it via PM please.
Thanks,
Joe

Here is one I saw in your state at least...

ponchjoe 07-16-2014 06:13 PM

Thanks for looking out for me but that thread is from 2010. He may still have it but I would really like to find a driver.
Thanks again!

ponchjoe 07-16-2014 06:16 PM

Sorry guys, I should have given more detail in my original post. I am looking for a nice driver, don't care if it is a numbers car but has to be a real GT37.
Thanks and keep 'em comin'!

Actually this one is in South Dakota now at the same price. I went to look at this one when it was for sale in Indiana, it was quite a project. If you are interested Joe, I can get you the contact info.

Not to discourage you but I ended up having to go to Canada to find mine. It was well worth it though :D

Judge273 07-16-2014 06:56 PM

A good GT-37 is not a easy find. Never looked at date, but that 400/4 auto at that price...mucho better. Change the interior to ivory and that's a sweet combo!

They are fun! Took mine out today and added front plate.

You're killing me!
I need to find one soon or I might just slip and buy an 05 MBM 6 speed GTO.... Somebody stop me.

Fender emblems denote T-37. can't be an original '71 GT-37, as it's a Post car.
Since its noted as a 455 HO car, would be interested in hearing more, is this your car?

ponchjoe 07-27-2014 09:39 AM

Slow down OPH, I would like to hear more via PM before we role this out to the public It is my thread :)

gto_70, please PM me or call 317-364-6196

Thanks,
Joe

Rich, this car was at Stanton and Steve was very much probably going to sell it. It's one of Dan's old cars and owned by the Glasgo's before that.

I believe a 70.5 popped up on San Jose craigslist recently. there was a thread in the 70-72 tech forum

trishieldchief 09-27-2014 04:27 PM

Yes it is Dan Jensen's old car.
Dan himself told me that at Pure Stock Drags.
The painted roof, GT stripes and honeycomb wheels really changed the look of the car from when Dan had it.

Judge273 09-28-2014 07:47 AM

So, it's re-transformed into the lasteset version? Wonder what it started it's life as....

This is the before-before. Dan Jensen era?

T-37 ?

Don't know if this is real or not. I'm not that familiar with these cars. It obviously has a GTO hood on it.

http://www.autotraderclassics.com/cl...ationId=162224

You may have already seen all these cars, or they may be sold, and most are T-37's, not GT-37's. But I'll list 'em anyhow--might help. :)

Hey, people lie. :( Lots of these old cars are probably clones of some sort. Here's a ruff lookin project.

ponchjoe 10-28-2014 10:39 PM

I know Paul and Co. I went a different direction and bought a 68 GTO. Thanks for the help.
