This is not my car, I just noticed the ad on the local Craigslist. It's in Ogilvie, MN which is about 75 miles north of Minneapolis.

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/a...044870537.html Asking price is $7500. The seat covers have to go, but otherwise it doesn't look too bad and it's a four speed car.

I agree, the seat covers would have to go....;) Not sure I really like the paint job, but it's no where near as bad as the interior.

With the way old car prices have gone up in the last few years despite the interior that’s not a bad price assuming it’s not full of bondo.
Plus, those cars are great for long trips and you won’t see them at every car show.

I think it's a pretty decent price if the body is in good shape. Did they do two tones like that in '74 or is it custom? I had '73 GA years back and I know they didn't do that for '73.
And, yeah- those seat covers need to go! Along with the Edelbrock air cleaner and valve covers!

A lot wrong with the interior! Upper door panels aren't right along with the seat covers like was already mentioned! A lot of work needed under the hood also along with paint work and looks like to much money to me? It is a 4-speed car so if it's original not to many out there. I paid a bit more for my '73, but it is original!

Door panels are 1975-77 LeMans

Looks a little frankenstein-ed to me

You really want something like Lyn's sweet-as-honey 4 speed 73 Grand AM.

Lyn - that's a nice original car, very rare indeed.

Maybe for 5k but 7,500 is a lot given that it's got wrong parts all over it and paint job looks lumpy...

Stuart 12-29-2019 11:58 PM

I don't know if the price is high or not, but on the other hand you're going to have to look a long time to find another four speed car for sale.

Beggars can't be choosers. I sold my '73 4 speed for $4k, and it was in much worse condition, albiet more original and complete, than this 1974 in question. $7500 is not a lot of money for any car these days.

The main issue has and will always be that a majority of the guys that are into these cars are huge cheapskates.

I owned a White 74 Grand AM with 400 4 speed

First car I ever owned was a 74 GrandAm but mine was an auto. Brings back memories, and I likely should not have survived the things I did with that car.
