My '72 Lemans sport, what shuld i ask for it?
 

I bought this 1972 Lemans sport out of California a few years ago (long story short) traded it, bought it back and was going to make a street strip car out of it.
After I bought it back from Brent, I started to restore it then my TA that a sold to a friend of mine a coupe years ago became available. I bought the TA when I was 18 (I'm 52 now). Now I need to sell the Lemans.
It has a fresh mild 400 (I also have the original 350) 46 casting heads, 068 cam, 60 lbs oil pump, double roller timing chain. Turbo 350, original 2.56 posi. New carpet, package tray, in dash tach, Robb mc 1/2 pickup, In-line tube 1/2 factory style fuel line, all new front and rear suspension (springs, shocks, boxed rear control arms, rear sway bar).
It was pretty much rust free but the 1/4 panel was hit in the body line so I replaced it. Pretty everything from the heater core to all the brakes stuff has been replaced.
What should I asked for this car, I was thinking somewhere around $18,000. It will have fresh base/clear paint on it with a white D-98 stripe. It is originally Adriatic blue #24. I thought if somebody was interested in the car and wanted it a different color I could do that.

The 12 bolt is no longer in it.

Interior is dusting from being in the body shop.

I think the blue with the white sword type stripe would look great . Not going to put vinyl top back on I assume . I would be interested but I have to finish my other car first . I don't think your far off on price ,looks like a nice car . Good luck with sale

The vinyl top is not going back on. The body and the floors are just as solid as the T-37 I sold you, it just needs body work that the T-37 didn't have to have. I just don't want to price it too high or low. My house has a pending sale so i'll be moving from Macon in December.
BTW if somebody wants tell me what they think it worth and don't wants to say here, PM me, my feeling won't get hurt.

Well the Lemans is painted, now time to clean it up. I'm still wondering what I should ask for it.

I would put 400 emblems (instead of the 350) on it and ask 21k for it. Definitely put the stripe on.

Used to be only Pontiac people wanted a LeMans or tempest but I think prices have been going up as GTO’s are priced out of reach - especially with the endura front end.

I saw a red 71 non endura with a black sword stripe on 17”s (it was really clean) at Mecum Dallas and I want to say it sold for 40k??

I pretty much have the car done. The engine runs way better than I expected to have a 2.56 gear. It will be ready to sell in a couple weeks.

Congrats hope you got what or more than you expected. My thoughts were the 18K you first talked about with all the work you had done was 3 or 4K low but that's just me. Is it staying local?
