Having some issue with getting emails thru PY - randomly they make it or not. If you email, please PM also and I'll make sure we connect. Thank you.

CAR DETAILS:
We've had this solid, old Firebird project for several years and haven't had time to get anything done with it, so we decided to give someone else a chance to finish it up and enjoy it.

It's a 1973 Firebird Esprit which was originally equipped with a 350 CID V8 and automatic transmission. The original motor was long gone when we bought it and had been replaced with a 400 by the prior owner.

RARE original color was 'Navajo orange' with white vinyl top and white deluxe interior, it's now painted medium blue with blue/white interior. Paint is faded and old and the interior is VERY rough, but they reproduce everything, so it will be easy enough to restore. It had factory AC but it is no longer installed.

Body is very straight and rust-free with absolutely ZERO rot. Has a small amount of surface rust from the vinyl top and one dent on the front top ridge of the hood. The rear bumper is in good shape and it even has those cute little 'bumperettes' that were popular back in the 1970s. There is no rust in the floors or trunk, just a bit of surface rust. A good, solid basis for a build.

The front suspension has been totally rebuilt. Rear axle has been replaced with a late 70s Trans Am's disc-brake posi-traction rearend. I'm pretty sure that the rear springs - and probably the front springs - have also been replaced before we got it.

Although the disc-brake rear-end is installed, the brakes are NOT hooked up and bled yet, so it currently has NO BRAKES. This could be fixed fairly easily.

Larger Trans Am WS6 sway bars are included - the front is not yet installed. Also has a BRAND NEW set of KYB shock absorbers - again not installed yet. Wheels are 15" aluminum Champ 500 look-alikes. Tires are old BFGs and are cracked - don't drive on these.

Engine is a rebuilt 1973 'X5' 400 CID with:

1971 '96' 400 heads with 2.11/1.77 valves
Moroso chrome valve covers
Edelbrock P4B aluminum intake - the BEST aftermarket intake for street use
Carter Competition Series 600CFM AFB carb
MSD billet distributor
MSD 6AL box
MSD high performance plug wires
Performance camshaft and lifters
Performance timing chain and gears
High volume oil pump

The radiator is a super-duty brass unit with dual electric fans. ***It will need a controller for the fans.***

Has a full dual exhaust system which consists of ceramic-coated headers and Flowmaster mufflers, headpipes and tailpipes.

Transmission is rebuilt with a shift kit and a B&M shifter. I think there is a performance torque convertor installed, but it's been long enough that I'm not certain. Heavy-duty trans cooler and in-line filters are installed.

The steering wheel is a factory Formula wheel, from a 70s Trans Ams. There is also a factory 3-pc rear spoiler in good condition that has never been installed.

The battery has been relocated to the trunk.

We've posted a handful of pictures, but we have about 125 more pics. Please send an email or PM if interested.

Thanks for looking! Let's make YOU the new owner!
