Rigid hone issues
 
During the honing process im having problems removing any material from the very bottom of the bore due to being a blind hole.any tricks ?I've tried reshaping the stone .I dont have a clue to hit that very bottom

I assume you are honing cylinders? How are they a blind hole?

Due to the stone having
very minimum travel before it hits a main boss

I use an electric die grinder with a 1/4" thick, 3" diameter stone to clearance that area of the cylinder you are talking about. Then your fixed-stone hone can get most of the way to the bottom and produce a straight cylinder. Along with the tie-in between the cylinder and the main web, that area is very inconsistent around the bottom and flexes rather than cuts all the way around. relieving that area just leaves the fully supported part of the bore to worry about. Good luck, takes some practice.
