Yaw Sensor Location

I need to change the Yaw Sensor, I looked under the Window switch's in the center console, is it under the rear seat A/C ducts?

Mounted between seats under center console.

What would a yaw sensor do in an auto?

camerjeff 11-01-2019 06:01 PM

Thanks for the input, I had dissassembled the center console, but not removed it, it must be under the air ducts for the rear seat vents.

The stability control system is sometimes faulting, and just before it does the antilock brakes momentary apply some pressure to one or both of the rear breaks.

The yaw sensor detects skids and the stability control system applies differential breaking to try and correct it. I wish the car didn't have this system, just seems to be a PITA to me.

Been having log in probs till today.
Did you find it? GM parts catalog shows its mounted to the floor.
If not will have one of our techs check on SI.
