Well we Picked up the car Monday Night, and I was able to take it on 6 hour round trip on Dec 24th, all I can say is what a car!!!!!! It has a few things I am going to have to get used to, and it really needs a gauge package but I have my eye on one triple set that that looks stock, goes in the cubby above the stereo, but it a little Spendy at almost $600.00 it will have to wait for the tax return. And the front plate holder has to go, unfortunatly it is screwed through the front facia so the holes will have to be filled and painted!!!

After buying this car it dropping Pontiac almost makes sense, they finally made the inexpensive sport sedan they have been trying to make sense the 1973 4-door Grand Am!!!!
So just like the Fiero to name just one, we proved that we could do it, now kill it!!! Thanks again GM.

But it is a GREAT!!!!!! Machine.

My father was new car shopping a few weeks ago when I mentioned the G8.

His response?

"Why the hell do I want a car from a company that doesn't even exist anymore? That's like buying a goddamned Studebaker or something"

He bought a Buick LaCrosse instead.

:noidea:

I know what you mean, people (including my Chevy car salesman brother inlaw) seem to think that you won't be able to parts, service, or the warranty honored. Its not like GM went out of buisness, and they have to provide parts for 10 years. Also most drive train parts are standard GM, and mostly Camaro.
But if your Father was looking a a LaCrosse, he probebly wouldn't have liked the G8 Anyway, Not enough toys in the interior. Just plain speed and handling, and it doesn't float around bumps either. My older brother can't stand its ride, he likes the feel of his Lacern's easy chair like ride. I hope I never get as old as he seems to be!!!!

Buicks have always been old man rides. I had a Regal that I bought for my son for his first car the clock and radio display was huge so the old people could see it better. They should have killed Buick! Love those G8's!
Jeff you got your self a sweet ride!

Enjoy your G8, it's a slippery slope with the mods....I'm spying these gauges and the twin pod that takes the place of the 3-1/2" speaker that sounds like ****.
