To me this is why to me any motor built with a Cam of 230 duration or more ( depending on cid ) needs a programmable timing box like a MSD 5 or such!

With these you can get the needed 50 degrees of timing at idle , low timing for cranking ove needs, and then above idle have the timing back down to what the motor needs then advance again until peak torque is made and then have the needed retarded timing creep in for maximum HP numbers.

As much as I don't like electronic's in cars since I repair electronics all day, this is one big plus for having a timing box like these in a car!!

I have a MSD 5 and didn't know it was programmable, can you tell me how or screen shot the instructions?
