4 Speed GP Shifter Porch location

I know this is a long shot.....I'm about to weld the Shifter Porch to the floorpan of my '69. Although it's sort of obvious where it sits on the tunnel, there is a little wiggle room fore-aft. Does anyone thats done a resto or may have the carpet out of theirs have any pics or better yet, measurements of where it sits relative to the tunnel? I've attached pics to show what I'm looking for. Thanks and stay safe!

I sorta figured these were spot welded on at the factory....but now that I look at the part, I see that it wasn't. Just 6 holes in it. So did they just screw these on? Either way, I suppose the factory wasn't all too accurate with the location of these.

It would have been held down with sheet metal screws. Just put on the hump where it fits best, and use some sealant under it. 3M strip caulk is a good choice - it's cheap, doesn't harden and seals well. It should be available at most any auto parts store.

I have my 4speed 69 torn down in the shop. In the morning I’ll send photos of where hole is at with measurements. I wouldn’t weld it in position. Screws will work just fine

I always found that the porch (if not bent up just sort of falls into place). The location on the GP would be identical to all 68-72 A bodies so should be plenty of pics online.
