Someday
Great resto on this one. Anyone know the owner? Member here perhaps?

I agree. Nice to see one done so well.
Since he's been particular about correctness, he might like to know that the honeycomb backplates on the hood scoops should be black. |
Haha, I thought the same thing.. odd to see them silver I said.

WOW that's nice! I'm not a fan of the body colored scoops though.
|
The lower part of the scoops should be body color, but the back plates are supposed to be black.

Nice car and resto, but he should lose the Buick sticker in my opinion!!!

There's a few minor, very minor things about it that aren't correct but are easily corrected. No big deal though as it is a very nice restoration.
|
Now if it was me, an it's not, I would do the scoops satan black, I think they would clash well with the front grille an the vinyl top, regardless of a couple little what what's I think they did an awesome job. Nice to see some of you guy's from the A-body site still around.

Hood scoops
For sure the NACA scoops should be flat black or satin black - that's what I have on my GT, makes any color pop and looks more racy and mildly sinister....
|
Bumpers - rubber trim missing
He's also missing the horizontal rubber trim pieces on BOTH front and rear bumpers. That's makes sense as those are very HARD to find and as far is know, no one makes them in aftermarket.
