02 Formula
 

son bought an 02 Formula and has picked up a spare rear end for it. I know on the older rear ends the ratio code was stamped on the axle tube. Where is the code on the 4 gen axles?

I believe it was a paper tag affixed (with barcode and letter coding) that's to the top of the driver's side axle tube. I have one on my '99 Trans Am that I will try to snap a picture of later today. Depending upon mileage and element exposure, yours may or may not remain.

Thanks rocky. I have a pic of the tag and ran both numbers and do not get anything related back. Although its rather faded on one side so I might be missing part of the code.
