Windshield Wiper Problems
 

Hey guys, first post here on the forum.

I have a 1985 Firebird Trans Am.

So the problem I am having is when I turn on the windshield wipers via the left-side rotating switch the wipers turn on and work, which is awesome. The only problem is when I try to go and turn them off. I rotate the switch back to "off", yet the windshield wipers remain on and the speed doesn't change. The only way to actually turn them off is to turn the ignition off and then back on so the wipers reset to the default position.

So my question, is this a motor problem? With this model Transam, was the relay for the wipers inside the wiper motor itself? Or is this a wiring problem?
