Whatever you just wrote, can you write it again with punctuation? I'd like to help but having trouble understanding what you're saying.

canadian 69 ram air convertable

Ok will try again Canada documentation only states that 730 convertables came to Canada in 69 shows ram air option no judge option does not give numbers of production of ram air only cars

Are you sure the car sold new in Canada ?

It sounds more like a potential PMD Company Car , or Zone Executive Car , perhaps.
Just checking

GregP 08-15-2019 12:10 PM

I don't mean to hijack this, but why would he get a Canadian PHS from george_zapora@outlook.com? My car was built in Pontiac and shipped to Canada and I got my PHS from the regular PHS place. Is there more info available from the Canadian docs?

Sometimes, yes
Sometimes, no

Sometimes you actually need BOTH versions to get full depth.

On the cars BUILT in Canada , the GM of Canada docs are the best

Benlor, thanks for the clarification.

Sometimes GM of Canada docs show engine data--see attachment.

PHS is an invoice service.

GM of Canada is different yet similar. Seems like there was some law that records needed to be maintained for cars built or sold new in Canada. GM of Canada will have that info. I reckon it's almost the same as PHS, but not sure if they actually give you an invoice or only a sheet that runs down the option list and possibly some engine info, like I've posted.

If I'm incorrect about something, I'm sure a Canuck will correct me.

You cant get a PHS of a Canadian built car. But you can get a PHS for a US built car sold in Canada.

The GM of Canada documentation is not as thorough as PHS. The PHS is a print of a real document (from archived microfilms). The GM of Canada documentation is a summary. I dont know why they dont provide actual copies of real document... They do have all the info somewhere.

It shows the option codes, but not the order sheet codes, like the PHS.

Seriously? I thought PHS offered invoices for all Pontiacs built in North America. No?

YES
at least if it was built in Canada , sold in USA.
Not 100% sure about built & sold in Canada - but i think Yes on those too.

GM of C claims their docs are proprietary information. Lame

As Diego , and some others are aware -
The info on their data source is deeper than an Invoice from PHS . fwiw
EUN's
No-Cost Alternates listed out , such as a 70 455 Judge , a WT7 Judge , a 2bbl 69 GTO , which Transmission installed in a 70 TA , etc ....
An Invoice will not distinguish these items

I ordered the PHS for my Oshawa built Judge sold here in Ontario and the Canadian documents from George Zappora. Nothing was on file from Jim Mattison at PHS; only the Canadian version was available.

Canadian version identified numbers produced and highlighted some of the interesting options for my car specifically; 19 with F35; 206 with M21, 442 with WT1 etc. GM RPO Codes included.

Paint & stripe colours by name, production plant, production and shipping dates spelled out clearly. Engine unit number was also identified.

Was hoping to get both versions to fill in the blanks.

Baron Von Zeppelin 08-17-2019 03:54 PM

If they listed out the stripe colors on a Judge , they just used the generic default color based on exterior color.

I, and several others, have a couple/few pages of their "proprietary" data.
Many of the vehicles on these sheets are Judges.

There is no data within their realm that calls out stripe color defacto on any Judge.
WT-7 would be the only dead ringer.

In much earlier days, they did include a copy of the defacto "proprietary" paperwork from which they drew their typed out translations from.

Pepper you must have gotten your GM of C documents prior to year 2000-2001
They stopped going that far into some of the details you listed - quite a while back.
[ 19 with F35 , etc ]

They do have a good data source and I am NOT knocking their archive at all.
It is pretty terrific in my opinion.

I don’t know if this helps or confuses things,I was able to get both PHS and Canadian docks on my Oshawa built Judge that was sold new in the US.

CDN2PLS2 08-18-2019 09:30 AM

All I could find was 730 GTO convertibles sold in Canada in '69.

cdnroundport 08-18-2019 10:11 AM

My 69 RA convert sold new in Canada just the 730 units sold no further breakdown Was your car for sale earlier this year as a Judge convertible in Ontario?

Agree completely BVZ, good data source but not a complete picture.

Stripe colour Yellow indicated for a Pepper Green paint.

My Canadian documents were received in the last 7 or 8 years as I recall.

Makes perfect sense; Built in Canada and sold in the USA gives you the option for both GM of Canada documents and PHS.
