57 Steering Box interchange?

Does anyone have an older Hollander with interchange info for a '57 PS box?
Guessing Olds, maybe '58 too?
Thanks!

Hollander interchange number is 567 and is listed only for 1957 Pontiac with PS.

Thanks Goat. Can their really be that much diff between Olds, Buick, etc?
Clearly the Chebby is a different animal.
To be continued!

They are TOTALLY different

Can you elaborate? What about 57 to 58? A 62 Pontiac box is "totally different" than a '79 T/A but they interchange.

I think Steve is saying that Olds and Buick are totally different from Pontiac. Back then there was little or no interchange between chassis parts on the different brands, they each had their own engineering and design.

If you are going to try to make something else fit go to a newer box not another old one. With a little work a GM605 box can be made to work. You have to cut the steering shaft and install a rag joint but the pitman arm splines for the 2 boxes are the same. Two of the frame holes have to be redrilled to get the new box at the same angle.

If you really want to get into a steering box upgrade
