30th Ann. T/A or a Hellcat
I'm weighing the thought of my next purchase in the near future. I've always wanted a 30th since I saw it previewed coming new and a definite for my wish list but the thought of a Hellcat Challenger is very difficult to overcome. Just throwing this thought out there for opinions

Anybody with the money can go to the dealer and buy a Hellcat.
You have to find a 30th anniversary TA. Plus, you've always wanted one. Easy decision in my opinion. |
Hellcats are cool, but they're fairly common around here, I no longer "snap my neck" when one goes by. I'd go for what you've always wanted. In my case that'd be a Super Snake, but it'll never happen.

Yea I think that is how I'm feeling about it also..... They still build Cats and will for a while, used ones will continue to drop in price and make it more affordable in the future. |
30th ann is a pure joy to drive. plus they are very good looking.
|
Hellcat all the way. Go to a dealer and sit in one. You'll be amazed, and I imagine you'll soon forget about owning a 4th gen.
They're really apples to oranges, but since that's the choices, to me there's no question to which one I'd take. |
the 30th is the white with blue striped car;
with the gorgeous blue anodized wheels? for me, at face value, that's an easy one - the Trans Am... but to be more realistic, it comes down to something much more practical; Are you able to find the right car, in the right condition? Hellcats are cool, but I like actual special packages; The Challenger T/A (based on either the R/T or SRT) is a really neat package... I also liked the very limited SRT 'core' that I think most people today have forgotten about... |
I mean I really like 4th gen TAs and all but...... 700+ horsepower. If the finances to you are all the same there is no way I opt to ride a horse when I can afford a dragon.

Neither - Demon

I'd love to get a Sublime green Hellcat someday. They only made that color in 2015 though. |

I would be looking at a 2016 as I couldn't afford a brand new Cat either. The Hellcat would cost at least double the 30th also. I want a nice kept driver that I wouldn't be afraid to drive not a low mile museum piece. If I go 30th I'd keep my R/T, go Hellcat and sell the R/T. As stated 700 + HP with all the creature comforts, adjustable suspension and extras etc has to be incredible! As some of you know |

That's right..... I forgot about that. Watching videos the demon sounds so odd too.

Hell cats are so out! Demon is the only way to go if you’re going to do it, do it BIG! if you can afford it, and the insurance policy to go with it.

There’s 3 of them in my town. Not so hard to find here. :3gears: |
If you want a head rush, get a Jeep Trackhawk.

My thoughts. |
I don't konw if any of you have heard yet, but 2019+ Hellcats are going to benefit from a Demon inspired power bump...
|
When I heard that they were doing the Track Hawk and the Hellcat motor in the 300C that did kind of dilute the thrill of owning one a bit but ehhhhh :)
I am waiting to hear back from a guy on a 30th and lightly browsing for others but haven't really looked at any Hellcats. oh and btw new this year is the Challenger Hellcat Red Eye at 797HP |
Only problem with Demon, no manual transmission. I realize this is a Pontiac board, and I love Pontiacs, but no comparison between TA and Hellcat.
