Oldsmobile flywheel question

I thought I heard that Pontiac manual trans flywheel....will work on Olds V8.

Have a 75 400 Pontiac flywheel...Will this fit/work...on 73 350 Olds?

I am pretty sure that a Pontiac flywheel will not fit the bolt pattern of the Oldsmobile. I have had about 5 442s over the years and once I had a pile of flywheels that were all Pontiac except one which did fit the Olds, but not the Pontiacs.

Good question. I did a 4 speed conversion in my 69 firebird in 1996. I bought the flywheel, shifter, and muncie of my buddy Chalie. He was going to put it into his 72 cutlass with a olds 350. He only sold it because his crank was not drilled for a pilot bearing. I put everything in my car. Did the guy he got it off of have a poncho flywheel? Maybe so...

NO ! Those parts do not interchange on Pont and Olds .. a 73 350 needs a Olds 350/455 flywheel 1968-1976 also 99% of Olds V8s were Automatic and the back of crank is not drilled for the pilot bearing/bushing unlike our Pontiacs and Chevrolets so if you are going with that engine prepare to do that first or factory in all the cost first.
