Are the GTO hood scoops painted black or body color on a 72?

body color whether '72 T41 or GTO optioned car.

Body color, yes, but the inner surround lip and vertical bars are painted black from the factory. People often forget this detail. You shouldn't be able to see the vertical bars...they shouldn't be body color. :)
