68 Wood Wheel

I have a nice wood wheel for a 68 but no mounting hardware. Does the repro stuff work with an original wheel?

I wound up with a '69 wheel, only a slight difference in spoke depth with the '68 wheel, and used Ames '68 parts with it. They fit fine. The only issue for me was that for some reason, the horn button and collar were chrome plated instead of the correct satin finish. I kinda liked the shiney look so I kept it that way. No other issues at all.

I have the original 67-68 stuff on my 68 wheel.

I think Greg hit a homerun with the repop metal center cap and metal collar compared to my re-use of used stock Cap metal & collar.

The new medallion is exact repo and excellent in quality. You will feel relief in tossing the original lucite.

The original 69 plastic collars are nice, and have been tempted to replace my pot-metal collar with repop metal or plastic butt hay its on and quite nice as-is. Have had plenty of 69-70 wheels and vinyl caps, &plastic collars on my 68 cars with great enjoyment. This time itsa big 68 wheel and old-school metal cap&collar.

Scott, you ignorant inquisitive idiotic slut, how did you know?

Seriously though, 4L80 needs manual Park, Neut Revers. the rest is florr shifted.

If I has a Dual Gate Auto car, then the whole deal would be a cable from a Dual Gate.

--> I need a 68 Auto GTO/LeMans to replace my 68 Stick Car.

I think Mark needs to add another pedal to that setup, like the pushbutton automatics! :D
