Anyone heard any rumors if the 06 GTO will get a 5 or 6 speed automatic? I think it would help performance and fuel mileage. I don't like giving Uncle Sam gas guzzler money. I would rather pay for the technology and get better performance/fuel mileage for the life of the car.

Nope, no major changes like that. '06 will be the same as the '05 for the most part. Different colors for '06: Yellow Jacket and Cyclone Grey are being replaced by Fusion Orange and a darker red akin to '04 Pulse Red. The controls on the steering wheel get lights, and the seat motors are beefed up.
