The 1974 and the 1975 exhaust tips are the same size. The 70-73 are the shorter tips. The 76 tips are the twin pipes per side, if my memory serves me.

The 1974-5 tips are available in reproduction

Haven't seen them for vouch for their quality, but the price seems affordable:

Good luck!

While many companies market exhaust extensions common to '74-75, and the two years do share a similar appearance, the '75 extension is definitely different than the '74 unit.

The attached photo illustrates the differences between the two. In addition to the lateral bends (which creates specific LH and RH extensions), the '75 unit was welded to the tailpipe and sold as an assembly where the '74 unit was a slip fit design and sold individually and fit both sides.

The one-year-only '75 extensions are certainly rare. They were limited to 400-powered Trans Am (455 cars had splitters) and I believe the '75 Formulas were equipped with them as well.

So that means that two (2) years in a row have specific tips only for those years. The 70-73 are short due to exit the chrome bumper. The 74 are one year and are longer due to bumper change. Yes I see that the 75 is in group 3.705 All F/Trans. Am or Formula RH499794 pipe, w/ext. and LH499795 pipe, W/ext.

Yes, that's correct. 1974 and 1975 are both one-year-only extensions. The 1974 units are, however, much more common than the 1975 extensions since they were sold separately (as in not as an assembly) through the parts counter.

And technically speaking, the 1970 extension with its 25-degree cut was also a one-year-only unit as the cut went to 45-ish degrees on the 1971-1973 units. What made that difficult was Pontiac kept the same part number from 1970 to 1973.
