600 horsepower to the wheels sounds about right for that setup. Mine's at 450rwhp naturally aspirated.

Many naysayers out there about the 04-06's appearance, but having owned mine for seven years now, I have to say it's really a nice driving, well built car. Very quick too!

As a quick gauge on market, I always check ebay completed auctions.

They show around sixty auctions for 04-06, majority haven't sold.

There is an 05 with over $30K in performance mods that sold for $17,000 thereabouts recently.

I follow these and many with performance mods are listed in low to mid 20's, but are a hard sell.

The one you listed seems to have quite a bit more mods than many like the trans and convertor upgrades, ect.

Most have a dyno tune/ baseline and post mods run and paperwork/printout... if he does not have, I would ask him/pay for it and take it to a tuner for one.. if buying for the performance claims.

Good luck with purchase.

I decided not to go look at it for now. I want to get more info on these cars. looking at the pricing on these cars the price seems to be at the high end. but it is 22,500 obo. I am thinking if it is super nice 19k would be a good deal. just wondering about the reliability with all the mods.

unless one finds the right buyer, mods seem to hurt with sales vs helping.
One reason so many have "demod" sales on speed equipment

I sold a 05 with no mods except for street tune and it took some time to sell it, and the 24 ish young guy drove three hours...only one who looked at it. Low miles (14,000+) original owner car sold in 2012.

Mods or Stock, they are a hard sell unless priced very aggressive. Ebay is full of them not selling.

Most buyers are young and many don't want to build it themselves, so buy "done".

Look at www.LS2GTO.com to see what's hot / selling in classifieds.

If I wanted big performance for low investment, for the money these are the ticket.

Here's a nice looking/build 2006 Cyclone Gray with built eng at 670 rwhp in NC , asking $28,000 OBO.....

I was going to suggest a G8, but you allready found a car. I don't much care for the new GTOs
