I recently was able to purchase another original owner 69 Gp that I had been working on getting for many years. The car was special ordered from McKenzie Pontiac in Omaha Nebraska in December of 68 and was delivered to the original owner in March of 69 where it has remained until now.It is Castillion Bronze that is a Model SJ with A/C, Wood Stearing Wheel, Door Edge Guards, Passenger Vanity Mirror,AM Radio W/Reverb, Softray Glass, Tilt Wheel, Remote Mirror, Oh and it’s a HO 428. The car was featured in Hot Rod back in 2008, I have been in touch with the owner ever since in hopes that I’d be able to have an opportunity to purchase the car one day and that day has finally come due to the original owner facing many health challenges. It was very important to him to be able to choose the next owner of his car and I was lucky enough to that guy. This is a 13k original mile car with all original paint, mint interior and trunk, incredible undercarriage, and super nice engine compartment with original hoses and belts.

Beautiful pair of cars! Now ya have to post a few pics of the likely flawless wood wheel!
|
Jealous, favorite color and it’s a HO!
|
very nice. what a pair. congrats
|
I’ll see if I can’t get some pics of the wood wheel this week and thanks to all for the kind words about the car. Owning two 13k original mile cars one being a 4sp and the other a 428 HO is something pretty awesome if your a Grand Prix guy.

Very nice - congrats.

While its unfortunate that Butch's declining health forced him to sell his GP, I'm happy to see that it went to someone that truly appreciates it.
The article I wrote on the car for High Performance Pontiac can be see at https://www.pontiacv8.com/articles/2...o-rapid-rarity It certainly is a beautiful car! |
Wow, What clean car and thanks to Rocky for sharing your article on the car and on Butch the original owner.
