Hood tach inop

So I'm on the second good tach and its not working right either. If the car sits in the sun for a while when you start the car the tach does not work if you gently tap the tach housing it will then work. Also it's off by about 300 rpm. I'm so sorry I cut a hole in my hood for this junk.

same here.
My PY hood tach died after a very short time. Mr. Cass stepped in and had mine repaired after the ames merge but it died again after very few miles and I too wish i'd never cut a hole in a somewhat rare and VERY expensive steel 1971 GTO hood. no rain or weather involved but that really shouldn't make a difference. My hood is closed very gently.
bad product there.

Have you attempted to contact us after the second defect? There is a manufacturer's warranty on these hood tachs, and we are always willing to help.

Understandable, but it will always help to contact us. Although he might not want a replacement, we are still able to help the customer and attempt to better the situation.

after three years, I doubt you were going to do much; and after TWO bad units; I went back and installed the tach that I was trying to replace. it sticks sometimes, but at least it works.
