btw, the GM E keys everyone sells will work on the ignition but not on the doors. These NOS keys that are for sale are all later keys (E was used in 73, 77 and 81 also). To make them work on the door locks of a 69 you must lengthen the grooves closer to the square grip area. You'll see what I mean if you compare an old original to an NOS. A dremmel with the thin cutting wheel does a good job. The H trunk key is not affected by this problem

I dont know but the dealer cut me four GM keys today. I asked how much and he said usually eight bucks per blank but its Friday so no charge. I was like really??? And he said yeah no worries. How great is that huh? Killer guy and awesome when you get service like that.
They work thus Im a happy :)
Cheers

So I was cleaning garage getting ready for Deer Camp and boom there are the keys to the Judge. Go figure

I bought some GM key blanks for my 1970 from a vendor at a swap meet a while ago. He gave me a square (J), oval (K), hexagonal (C), and a round (D). Checking with the two keys I have for my Judge, the ignition is one key (square), and the oval fits the doors, trunk and glove box. Because of the paint under the door panels, I know both doors were replaced sometime in the 1970s. I don't know if they swapped out
the original door locks. I haven't had the new blanks cut yet because I'm not sure what is correct. How many keys should a 1970 have and what should they fit?

Correct keys for a 70:

Square J for the ignition and doors (and tailgate on wagon).

Round K for glovebox and trunk
