Removing Interior Roof Rail Trim

I have a 1968 with deluxe interior and am preparing to install the TMI Products one piece molded headliner. I am not sure how to remove the polished metal interior trim piece the runs from the top of the A pillar to the bottom of the rear quarter window where it meets the body panel.

Any help or direction to pictures or video is much appreciated.

Are you referring to the stainless Steele channel that holds the window weatherstripping?

If so, you have to remove the weatherstrip first. Then remove the Phillips head screws. Lastly, there is some black butyl type tape attaching it to the body. However, I'm not sure you need to remove that for a headliner change.

If not, post a picture of the piece you working with.

I'm basing this off of how my '69 was setup.

I think we are talking about the same polished stainless trim piece as seen in this attached photo. Attachment 546499

I am pretty sure those are just held in with spring clips. I do not remember having to unscrew anything, they just pull off.
But it has been 8-10 years since I had those apart.

Yep. Pretty sure those are just clips and pop them out.
