70 GTO Value

I am considering selling my GTO in the spring. It had a frame off resto 10 years ago. All original drivetrain. 4 speed power steering. Power disc brakes.Atoll blue with blue interior. What is the market values for these? I see prices all over the place... Thanks Tom

It would help if you posted which engine it has. I assume the standard 400?

Tomslemans67 09-16-2019 07:23 PM

Yes it does have the 400.

Diego 09-16-2019 07:58 PM

The standard one?

In today's market $40k wouldn't surprise me. Not sure how big the difference is between asking prices and selling prices, but it seems everything but the top end keeps moving up. Restored judges are still worth about $70k but now a restored regular GTO seems to be pushing $50k.

400 4 speed 1970 GTO engine codes:

WT standard L-78 large value 400

WS optional L-74 Ram Air III, large valves with the big exhaust manifolds

WW optional L-67 Ram Air IV, large valves with big exhaust manifolds, round exhaust ports, aluminum intake with iron crossover- not available with a/c

People need to separate infatuation from reality when pricing these cars. Here was a nice one that recently sold. The "asking" price was $29,900.00, so you know it sold for less and that number is well below 40 or 50k > https://www.gtoforum.com/f13/1970-gt...45/#post888193

Prices always seem high when shopping around. But try selling one for some of those asking prices....needs to be very clean and tight car

I looked at a nice '70 Judge (red on red) on Sunday. The "dealer" was asking $55,000.00. I'm betting the car could be bought at under $47,000.00, perhaps $45,000.00

Darrell Davidson just worked on it for the owner.

Which car? The red Judge?

WT- 2 bolt or 4 bolt main caps?

With 2 bolt or 4 bolt main caps?

The 1970 Pontiac literature indicates it is to have the 4 bolt main caps.
