upper control arm bushings

can someone post a pic of upper control arm bushing in the arms of a 73..
I believe my 73 to have 74 lower arms with the 9/16 lower bolt but the upper they look the same size bushings

Im looking at the del a lum bushings from Global west and they say the uppers are different size as well depending on year...can u tell me if the 74 upper arm bushings are significantly different in size on the upper arms..thanks Chris.

The uppers are same as '73 . The lowers changed to 9/16 around Feb of 1973 from my research. Del~A~Lum bearings give the suspension a very FAST reaction time and much improved ride if you want to use a taller tire with no side wall. I had to paint my bearings black, as they only had Blue anodized when I bought mine.
You could have original lowers on your car..

Hi formulabruce
Yes the lowers on my car are the 9/16 bolts so I've got that figured out but not sure on the uppers

The difference in size is it significant that u can see the difference in the upper bushings??.
Global west kits on the upper kits different bushing sizes...I think the 1014 is the kit with the same size bushings and 1015 is the different sizes but like I said are they different enough u can see or do u need to take an arm apart/ off the car to see the difference and measure

I will look at one of my kits for a '73 I have, and see which it is in the morning. I do have a 73 Formula subframe complete but it has a foot of snow on it. I will uncover that tomorrow too.

That would be great thanks..

Did u ever get to look at those bushings u said u had and or the subframe just curious....

I did take some pics. There is a lot of surface rust on them, but they appear the same as 74.
The Del~A~Lum kit I have is for the late 73+ and up
Chances are if you have the bigger bolt in the bottom, you have the 74 style.

Thanks ...yes that what it appears to be according to Global west...74 subframe with 74 uppers....
I'm just really still wondering about the bushings how big a difference are they and can u tell just by looking at the arms????
So u say the kit u have is 73 up so its for the 74 subframes ????
If so the kit, I'm assuming it's 1015 u have ...with different size bushings ??...since on the GW website the 1014 is for 70-73 with the same size bushings....
If u would be interested in letting them go lmk if I'm correct in what I'm saying...lol
Thanks

So got my arms out .
Subframe is 74 with the larger 9/16 lower control arm bolts
The upper arms are 1973... Both my bushing are 1.30.
From info I got from a fellow py'er lemansboy70
74 bushings are 1.30 and 1.38...so different size but marginal
Looks like Ineed kit 1014from Global West...

My '73 was a mixed setup from the factory too. I talked to GW & we decided I had 73 uppers & the updated 9/16" lower arms. They sold me a kit with same size upper bushings & the correct lower for the 9/16" bolts. The car is still off the road, but I had no issues pressing them into my stock A-arms.

That's good to hear they went in no problems
Yep I've order both kits I need ....
Having them shipped to friends in Michigan and hope to get down to them next month and pick up other things I've shipped there too...
I'm looking into poly bushings for my 1 1/4 sway bar now....
