Inner fender rubber A-arm splash seals on T-37 and GT-37?
Disassembling my ‘71 GT-37 and noted that it doesn’t have any inner front fender A-arm seals. The rubber flaps that (attempt to) keep crud out of the engine bay. I’m sure after 50 years a lot of cars lost their originals. But my car has no evidence of even any staple holes in the sheetmetal. It looks to me like it never had any seals.
Is this one of those things that Pontiac left off the 233 Tempests to save money? |
Some models didn't have them. I don't think my Sports Lemans with T41 front end had them either
|
Factory equipped 71 Pontiac A-bodys without AC did not have the flaps or tiny holes for the staples.
A long time friend also noticed this recently on his '70 Judge convert (non AC car). |
My T-37 never had them.

AG, curious if yours has AC?

I don’t believe my Fremont built 71 GTO with A/C ever had them. I don’t see any indication that they were ever there.

My ‘71 T-37 Pontiac plant AC car has them.
