Anyone near Memphis to look at a car

Not sure I would want to go looking at a car in Memphis. I was there and in the area for a week in June. They averaged 2 murders a day for my 7 days down there.

Worked there for 6 months in 1990. Yep, averaged 2 a day, week after week. Evening news would report it with no more alarm than the weather man telling you it was raining and was gonna rain tomorrow. Sad state of affairs.

Where's all the guns to fight back?!

Sorry for derailing this. I have a lot to say but don't want to keep this so off track. Anybody that lives in the area will know when and where to go. So if there is anybody in the area please respond to OP.

Just a thought, if he had time to do it. "Suntuned" here on PY lives in Memphis, and is plenty capable of assessing the condition of a used muscle car. I can't speak for him, but you might PM him, if he isn't able to do it he may be able to recommend someone. I'm kind of surprised there is a Pontiac muscle car for sale down there, because when I was living there Pontiacs were few and far between, everyone had a shiverlay.

I lived/worked in Memphis for a year and a half from 1999-2001, the warnings about guns and murders already made aren't at all exaggerations. I was sooooooo happy to move away from that city in 2001.

Where's all the guns to fight back? A ton of people carry guns on them in Memphis. When I lived there people I ran into were always asking me if I carried a gun, I never did, and they wondered why I didn't.
