Checking pushrod length with hydraulic roller lifters
I’m to the point with my 428 build where I need to check for proper pushrod length. Block has been decked, hydraulic roller lifters and new Edelbrock heads that have been prepped by Butler Performance.
I really don’t want to buy a set of solid roller lifters and I’ve read multiple times over that solid rollers have a different roller to cup height anyways. I am going to be running Johnson short travel lifters that have 0.058” of travel and they are currently soaking in oil. I also installed checking springs for cylinder 1 springs. Will the hydraulic lifters be alright to check pushrod length with them soaked in oil and the checking springs? |
There’s a good thread here recently about this subject, I will search for it and bring it to the top...
