Steering Box Part Needed

2 Attachment(s)
I was almost done rebuilding my fast ratio steering box for my 1969 Firebird when I discovered a broken part on the input side of things. Does anyone know how or where I can find one of these? I think it used to be one part not two and definitely not three!

Reach out to "Turn One" in Saginaw, Michigan. They built my 69 box to 2-1/4 turns lock to lock. They are right down the road from Saginaw Steering Gear where your box was originally made, the owner of Turn One actually worked at Steering Gear, (now called Nexteer) he currently runs his own shop (Turn One). He builds ALOT of boxes for Nascar. I am real pleased with mine.

How much for the rebuild?

Call Lee and get one of there new 800 series boxes. I have the 14:1 with a 30 pound valve and it does everything well. Steering wheel snaps right back to center after a turn like a manual box, even with just a degree of caster! I never had a power steering box do this before and I've had many boxes..

Did you have to get a new power steering pump to work with the Lee 800 box?

Thanks for the help. Turn One was very helpful, but they said they would need to rebuild the whole unit themselves at a cost of $300. I am still on the lookout for the part, but may have to go the rebuild route.
