Hey guys I’ve been trying to convert my drums to this on my 70 Catalina Ave. contact the scabbard no luck they no longer
II’ve also contacted rice stuff and they don’t have it either can anyone help

He already tried Scarebird and Right Stuff.

Some times hard to watch, but here is a long drawn out series about the conversion using factory parts. Find yourself some 69/70 front spindles and caliper brackets. Later models will not work, front steer vs rear steer. Buy new calipers and hoses and disk master. Then bite the bullet and pay the money for the 69/70 rotors. The tricky part is what to do with a distribution block and maybe an in-line residual pressure valve.

Are they huge garbage can lid size? Nope. Better than drums, yep, although the drums are not really terrible after the first stop of the day.

Now I am having issues with the sticking and it seems to be a delay on the stoping

To find the spindles you need to find someone parting out a '69-70 Pontiac big car with power discs. They are out there and usually not overly expensive, but placing a want ad and trolling the Facebook groups dedicated to big car parts is what you have to do if you don't have a network of people who you can contact to source them (most of us in the big car world for a long time have contacts we source for this stuff from friends).

The most expensive part is the rotors. You MUST get '69-70 big car rotors and the ones that the chain parts stores list are NOT correct for these cars. If you're lucky you can find someone who is parting a '69-70 big car with discs and they'll sell you the whole shebang.

Scarebird is right, the market for these stinks as most people are not interested in paying the price on these cars to sustain kit development.

Let me couple check my parts book but I believe that 69-70 full-size all use the same spindles with it without disc brakes.

You still have to bolt the calipers on and I do not believe the drum spindles have this hardware.

I did this conversion many years ago, and it may be that drum and disk 69/70 are the same, but I cannot say. Would definitely need the caliber brackets before anything is going to come together.

Have had numerous sets of late '69-70 Pontiac B series disc takeoffs over the years typically off Bonne partscars. Most had nice thick rotors, didn't have to deal with replacing junk prev laying on the ground (mud) deeply rusted rotors. Disc spindles are same as '69-70 drum, but these sets are nearly always sold together with the spindles & disc dust shields, not as a pair of loose caliper brackets. '69-70 Pontiac B series calipers were also shared by early '70's 4WD GM pickups & rebuilt calipers were in the system last time I needed a pair. Disc Master cylinders were either Bendix or Morraine, I've had more Morraine versions. '70 Olds 98's & Toro's also used this Morraine master. Metering valve & stock replacement lines or incorporating a later integral prop valve is also in the mix.

So if I’m understanding I correctly my spindle on my car which is a drum should work or be the same. So I should need the just the rest of the braking components such as calipers rotors and brakes

Yes, your spindle should be the same. But in addition to the rotors you need the brackets that bolt to the spindle and hold the caliper on (and the dust shield). That's going to be the show stopper if you can't find it.

The advantage of the spindles being the same is not so much In finding Them but not having to open up the front suspension to do the changeover.

Sure can, as stated in the listing, I really don't want to ship them. I know Norwalk is up in the air, but will be making a road trip MN, WI, IL, IN and on to OH that week if for some reason it is not on.
