67 LeMans Air Conditioning Condenser

I am pulling the engine on my 67 LeMans and while the engine is out I want to change out the AC condenser, not because it's leaking but because it's 53 years old and it may go out on me anytime. Can anyone recommend a source for a top quality condenser. Thanks.

Sorry, no recommendation other than checking out your evaporator as they go too. Had one go recently in my wife's car flooding her legs with cold water and the stink of refrigerant.

Contact Classic Auto Air. Get their modern parallel flow condenser. Phone # 813-251-2356

I`m using their stuff on my `71. Works and fits.

+1 on the parallel-flow condenser. That type is also pretty much mandatory for good cooling performance if you retrofit to R134a. And if you stay with R12, it's also a good unit to use.

One thing to keep in mind: you will need substantially less refrigerant than the old round-tube serpentine takes, regardless of refrigerant type.

I can't see any reason to convert to R134 since R12 is more efficient
