Curious about ‘69 from Nutley, NJ circa 1988

Back in the late 80s, I hung around with this kid named Paul Jr. who’s dad owned a small electronics shop in Nutley, NJ called Lynne Electronics. Paul Jr. (not from OCC) owned a ‘69 Carousel Red Judge. Was originally a RA III, 4-spd car, but I know when he had it he was running a 455 TH400 combo. I believe he either sold it or traded it in to get a 1988 Formula 350 car. Does anyone on this forum know of/own this car?

Paul Sr. had an aluminum front end 421 SD Catalina. They were pretty hardcore Pontiac guys (Jr. had a tattoo of ‘The Judge’ on his arm).

I moved away and we lost touch decades ago. Was just curious if his Judge was still around someplace.

I was intrigued and did some web searches for a few minutes but all I could find was that the last name may have been McCarthy. Using that info I didn’t see anything solid linking that name to a Judge or SD car. A lot of hits lead to famous Pontiac racer/builder/author Pete McCarthy. Only Paul in Jersey with a similar car at about that time wasn’t in the electronics business in Nutley to my knowledge. Good luck with the search and let us know if you find the cars or your old friend.

I'd say this would be a rare car, I'd ask Nunzi if he knew this guy?

I found a 2004 Hot Rod article that mentions him and his ‘455 ‘62 Catalina’. I’m pretty sure that even back in the day, the 421 SD was long gone and he was running a 455 motor
