WTB 70 White TA
I have been looking looking for a 70 TA for a while and haven’t found just the right car yet.
These are my minimum requirements:: 70 White TA Deluxe blue interior 4sp with console Not meeting those is a deal breaker. RAIII as unfortunately a RAIV in not in the budget. After that I’m pretty open, but would like A/C if possible. Want 100% stock and as close to all numbers matching as possible and already fully restored to a very high level. If you, or someone you know, has something like this and thinking about getting out of it, please let me know. Thanks in advance, Mike |

I passed on a nice hard loaded 4spd AC with Blue Deluxe in the late 80's and came to regret it ever since. Congrats on finding what you wanted. |
I posted some pics a couple weeks ago, but got a pop up that they were waiting for an admin approval before posting.
I got this in another thread as well, and those have posted but not these. My guess is due to my low post count, but thought they would have been approved by now? |

No, I got it out of St Louis from Classic Car Studio. They had it on consignment from a collector out of Wisconsin. It had been in and out of (from what I can figure out from backtracking though prior owners) about 4 collections over the last 20 years. It supposedly was restored in Texas over 20 years ago with all OEM or NOS parts. Since the restoration it had only about 550 miles on it. I have put about 150 on it since I got it shaking things out on it. |

Too me, someone went though it all at this level then did underneath in the wrong color. I agree the black looks better, but down the road sometime I am going to change it to red oxide to be correct. Agreed, hence why I bought this car. I was really looking for a great car at a great "value" to me. Even though the black under carriage was not "correct" this car was far and away the best "value" I came across in the couple years I have been on the hunt.
I have seen plenty not near as nice go for a lot more, and seen cars that look really nice but missing most of the 70 specific items go for about the same price. And hadn't ran across any real A/C cars, let alone met all my other criteria. There was one at the R&M Sotheby's that sold in May that was as nice as this one I bid on it until it went past what I felt it was worth. It wasn't an original A/C car, but they added it and used what looked to be an original 70 dash bezel (chrome rings) It ended up going for a fair amount more than I got this one for. |
