Wondering where 1970 Judge convert is

Back in the mid 90s I restored a 1970 Judge convert it was polar white red interior with m-21 and 4:33 gears it was sold new in Ontario Canada so it has Gm of Canada documentation I had it Judged at the nationals in Red Wing Min and then sold it to a guy in California have not seen or heard about it since just wondering how it held up

johnta1 12-24-2018 08:25 AM

Doesn't seem to be any info since last post on it?

Polar White Convertible

This wasn't a WT-7 correct?

darren 12-24-2018 09:20 AM

That's correct it was not a WT-7 car it was a polar white Judge convert with power steering power brakes and was ordered with 4:33 gears and a white top

Still have any pics of it?
Have the VIN or PHS for it?

Sounds like a beautiful Judge, can't imagine it being 'destroyed'.
Probably just relaxing in someones garage/storage unit.

I remember seeing a 70 Polar White/Red Interior Judge at Hot August Nights, Reno, 1999 or 2000.I remember briefly chatting with the owner, who was in his mid 60s and a Doctor.
I believe it was a manual, the top was down and I cant remember too much more as it has been a few years!

Thanks for the document.

Nice options.

That would have been a very nice car.
Hope someone knows where it is.

Wow very nice car Darren. Did you restore it to sell it back then. Sounds like a keeper to me. Good luck on finding that baby. Marc

Hi Marc
At the time I found this car I had a 69 GTO hard top and a 69 Judge and was looking for a 69 convert and was told by a fella I met at collage that his friend had one for sale went to look at it and it tuned out to be a 70 convert judge
So my dad and I restored it and after it was done had it judged it scored well and we enjoyed it for a few years then someone offered us what we thought was a lot of money so we sold it then we bought a 70 judge hardtop and restored it to concourse gold level

Darren,

It has been a long time since we spoke and I hope all is well up north. I remember the Judge and thought I saw it at auction a few years ago. Is this it:

Here are a couple of pics when I found it in 1990 and one after we were done
That auction was in 2016 and it looks like the the car has weathered well I often wondered how the body held up it took a lot of work and head scratching to get it back in shape When we found it I told Dad to leave it were it was but before I could finish my sentence he had paid for it he had more confidence in our combined abilities then I did
The best part was the hunt and chase for parts and all the contacts that a guy makes in this hobby

Quite the transformation...

Wow... that car looks every bit as fantastic as I had imagined it would in those colors.
Darren, you and your dad made a "nice save" with that one!

The car in the picture is not the same car. If you look at the stripes they are the wrong color.

I know the person that owned the car. It was owned by Colin Comer at one time

darren 12-26-2018 06:00 PM

Guilty the pic I posted the stripe looks black but it is the blue stripe and so I believe it is the same car how many white red interior 4:33 Jude converts were sold in Canada
I sold it to a guy in California and he sold it to a dealer I believe

Here are some pictures that show the blue stripe one is from the world of wheels in Calgary and one is from Denver when it was getting judged and the pic with all the white judges and one black convert is in Red Wing Minn when we had it judged for the first time
